|Omah Aring | From New Plemburan|
After over a year of waiting, Finally I and family moved to our new house, “Omah Aring”, which means the sides sloping roofed houses. This house consists of two parts: the main house and “joglo” house. The main house idea came from my wife – Ambarwati, located at the back, which is nuanced semi-minimalist for living family. While the front house is Joglo; does not require a design plan, just follow the design of the old Javanese buildings. I ordered this Joglo house from someone in Wonosari city, Yogyakarta. Its formed of teak wood “Joglo” house pillars; This “joglo” house, I use for the living room, a place of worship, reading room and lounge, and can be used as a gathering place in an event or party.

The term “Omah Aring” comes from Yuda de’angelo, is an architect who designed this house. Construction of this house longer than I expected; because a lot of details that need to be repaired and making up of joglo been very slow. Initially, beginning in 2014, our family is planned to move, but the main house is not well prepared to live; because there are some parts that must be repaired. Finally, on July 20, 2014, 10 days before Eid, we moved into our new house – “Omah Aring”… Horay…!

This house, I dedicated to my beloved wife – Ambar. I am glad that she is happy after my family moved, although joglo house not ready when we move. The second floor of the main house is ready for living. Currently, the ground floor is still in the stage of final finishing, such painting “melamine” wood frame, doors and windows; while installments and complements the interior furniture.

Its still a lot things to do for final settlement, but at least my family happy for our own home sweet home and gathered with family – Ambar, Ajeng and Dimas – this is the most beautiful time for my family.
Greetings from Omah Aring,
